Location: Wankerville, UK | First of I'm not trying to get anyone back into the game.
I'm just informing those who would like to know something about the game.
I know the NGE and each update put a sour taste in our mouths to say the least.
Every now and then when I was bored, usually when I was waiting on a 360 game to be release and had nothing to play I would sub SWG for a month here and there.
Each time I would log in, remember the old times, and despise the current state of game with out giving it a fair shake.
Well as time passed, I packed up and moved to a new city, keeping my tag.
Then our old friends the rebuilt their old city on Tat, well semi same city, new location, same name, same founders.
A few old faces were coming back and playing but my tag was preventing me from communicating witht them efficiently.
I had to the hardest thing I have ever done since starting this game, and I hung up my tag and joined , after a little therapy and realizing was my new home I had some fun.
Then my internet crapped out and I could not play properly, I could chat and see what was going on, but not participate in b/c of my internet connection, iPhone.
Well now as you see in my signature, my internet connection is respectable and usable.
I have been playing more often lately. In the last week I have participated in two GCW events, base cracking and taking control of Bestine.
The base cracking was successful, but we were unable to take control of Bestine.
During our raid on Bestine, we had a camp setup outside town, which has built in cloner, and rebel npc's where you can go overt or sf.
Prior to the raid on Bestine, we all were setting up NPC rebel forces, evidently you have a window prior to the GCW to set up these defenses, called pilons, some adding to NPC, some adding to at-xt's, the more you set up in the time frame the better you potential to do.
You can go overt and just attack NPC items of said down, Bestine in the instance, or go overt as some did for full PVP / GCW experience.
This was just a normal every day raid, nothing special, and it felt like the old days of Reb vs Imp raids.
It may not be the old days, it will never be the old days, but there is still fun and enjoyment that can be had with this game.
As I said I am not attempting to sway anyone into play, but if you enjoyed the game in the past, you can enjoy it in the future, you just have to LET GO of the past, there are some old friends out there, and many you have yet met. Moving forward is what I found that will allow you to enjoy current state of the game. That is what it took for me to find what the game is, yes something things, well most has changed, but if you are willing to work with the learning curve I think there is potential to enjoy the game still.
Also I hear for the people that love space, there is supposed to be a huge space update that will make the game much more fun. I have not looked into the details but all I have talked to are waiting for it and say its going to be great. Anyway, I don't want to talk about what I don't know about first hand.

Great to catch you online...
I have no idea why, but all these talks about SWTOR and good old times on Tatooine made me reactivate my account and refresh some great memories. It is good to know that you are out there, because I will probably need some help adjusting to the new game style... all in all I am still incredibly busy with my graduate studies, therefore if you see me online that's probably me exploiting my little brother for grinding some money. I hope to start playing actively around 1st may throughout summer...
